Day 1 - Explore the Heart of Lima & Peruvian Culture

Morning – Historic Center of Lima (UNESCO World Heritage Site):
• Plaza Mayor: Start your day at the main square, surrounded by colonial buildings.
• Lima Cathedral: Visit this grand cathedral, home to impressive architecture and history.
• Government Palace: Watch the Changing of the Guard ceremony (usually around noon).
• San Francisco Monastery: Explore the famous catacombs and its stunning baroque architecture.

 

Lunch – Local Peruvian Flavors:
• Head to El Cordano (a historic spot) or try a traditional ceviche at El Mercado by Rafael Osterling.

 

Afternoon – Barranco (The Bohemian District):
• Puente de los Suspiros: Walk over this charming bridge and make a wish!
• Explore street art, local art galleries, and cozy cafes.
• Visit the MATE Museum (Mario Testino’s photography) and MAC Lima (contemporary art).

 

Evening – Barranco’s Nightlife:
• Have a Pisco Sour at Ayahuasca Restobar (a beautiful colonial mansion).
• Enjoy dinner at Isolina for hearty Peruvian “cocina criolla” dishes.

 

Day 2 – Miraflores, Coastline & Culinary Delights

Morning – Miraflores & Ocean Views:

• Walk or bike along the Malecón de Miraflores (clifftop promenade).

• Visit Parque del Amor for its mosaic walls and stunning sea views.

• Paragliding (optional): Experience Lima’s coast from above!

 

Lunch – Fine Dining:

• Try world-renowned Peruvian cuisine at Central, Maido (Japanese-Peruvian fusion), or La Mar for top-notch ceviche.

 

Afternoon – Huaca Pucllana:

• Explore this pre-Incan adobe pyramid in the middle of Miraflores.

• Grab a coffee at a nearby cafe like Puku Puku.

 

Evening – Larcomar & Sunset Views:

• Shop or relax at Larcomar, the clifftop shopping center with ocean views.

• End the day with a sunset drink at Cala or La Rosa Náutica, right by the sea.
